VFW Post 7564 is very proud of the tradition and history of its Color Guard. The Color Guard is under the direction of Color Guard Commanders Bill Tuff and Gene Cross and is comprised of 28 Post members who endure heat, rain, and cold weather to proudly present the colors of the United States of America, the VFW flag, POW/MIA flag, and the service flags in a myriad of ways.

Veteran’s Funerals
When called upon, they attend veteran’s funerals. They provide a full range of funeral services as prescribed by VFW Ritual. They fire salutes, fold and present the US flag to bereaved relatives, and they perform taps. They do this for any veteran whether or not they are a VFW member.
Parades
The VFW Color Guard marches in community parades – Memorial Day, Grandin Days, Bonanzaville Days, West Fest, and Veteran’s Day. The Color Guard doesn’t refuse too many chances to get out and do what they enjoy doing, parading with the Colors.
Community Activities
The VFW Color Guard presents the Colors at various local Memorials, High Schools and community events.
