MOC, "Pack Rats” Pup Tent 8 is the "Honor Degree” of VFW Post 7564 of West Fargo, ND. A Cootie is selected from the VFW Post membership by the Cootie Pup Tent. They are the most dedicated members who perform duties involving the aid to hospitalized veterans, providing blood, and working VFW membership, in addition to the various VFW projects within the Post and community.
Joe Best is the newly elected Commander of the Military Order of Cooties Pup Tent 8 of West Fargo Post 7564.
Joe grew up in Devils Lake and Zap, ND and moved to West Fargo where he graduated from West Fargo High School. He joined the Navy in 1991 and after training and serving in various areas, he served in the Persian Gulf on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN-72 in 1992 and later in Somalia to support the recovery of two Black Hawk helicopters. Joe currently owns and operates Veterans Lawn Service of West Fargo and has been very active with VFW Post 7564 and the Military Order of Cooties.
